Spring Fever

After being so sick, I literally could NOT get out of bed the past couple of days, the thought of Texas getting hit with another round of snow, was just not the most appealing thing that could have happened today. Luckily northern Texas missed all of the snow action that blanketed the middle and southern portions of my state. So, in lieu of new flurries, I thought I would share some photos I took a couple of weeks ago when we got 7+ inches in my area (and my gazebo caved in)!

As always, find the full gallery of this crazy Texas winter on my Facebook Page! Now I am going back to re-cooperating, until next time!

☆ Announcing Easter Photos at Callisburg Park ☆

So I know I have been really slack about updating here, but I have been super busy trying to get this together! I am proud to announce my first annual Easter portraits at Callisburg Park this March, just in time for Easter, which falls on April 4th this year! Take a look at my promotional ad!

I've cleared it with the city, as a portion of the proceeds will go back into the park where I am taking the photos at and I have obtained the go ahead to promote at the local Elementary School! I am so excited! I've created an Event Page over at Facebook that has all the details and you can even RSVP to attend either weekend I am shooting!

The photos in the promo ad are from a shoot I did a few days ago with my beautiful daughter and nieces! Here's a peek at a few more of the photos I took. For the full gallery of the promo photo shoot, head over to my Facebook Page!

I am so looking forward to taking tons of photographs those two weekends! I've been collecting really cute props and my Mom is making some handmade props for any babies that happen to show up! It's going to be a great time and I can't wait to capture all the little cuties in their Easter finest! =)

I've got a load of work to do in preparation of the Easter Photo Shoot and a ton of images back-logged waiting to be edited! So I will be a busy bee and I intend to post here a lot more in the coming weeks! See ya soon!

Creepy & Beautiful

As I have been editing this round of cemetery photos, I've been playing some more with adding textures and today I came up with one of my most favorite photos I've done to date. This is from New Hope Cemetery in Cooke Co, Texas. (This place had amazing trees!)

I love it so much I had to jump the gun and go ahead and share it here!

ALSO, my Sister-in-Law was looking at this same set of photos today and tomorrow we are going to go get two prints framed for her to hang in her home! I'll post about that once she makes her final decision on which images. I am so excited!

Rainy Days and Slow Computers...

So February is generally a dreary month. Cold and wet. Everyone is basically stuck indoors and bored out of their minds! Luckily, I've got a stock pile of images to edit and share, but unluckily my computer is disagreeing with me! It seems as though it's too old to handle the work load I am trying to impose on it. So as I attempt to edit the recreational photos I've taken over the last couple of months, it's creeping along at a snails pace! So, among a few other essentials - I am getting a new business computer when we get our small bit of tax return back. I can't wait to be able to edit and process my images at a more effective rate! =) LOL, until then here's a peek at what I'm (slowly) working on currently.

My Step-Dad and I went exploring in Cooke County, Texas where we live on 1.9.10 and this was our first stop. An old abandoned barn on the corner of I-35 and Highway 82. I am slowly getting all the photos I took throughout the day edited and will be sharing them here and on my facebook page as I get them completed.

See you soon with new photos and new stories!
