Oh Baby, Baby! - Gainesville Newborn Photographer
A week ago today, I had the awesome privilege of shooting my first (official) newborn session! For years I've been the baby paparazzi of my family and friends-- I took 100s of rolls of film during my niece's first year of life. But as an official photography business owner, I hadn't gotten the call for a newborn shoot until last Sunday. Little Miss Aubree was exactly 2 weeks old and was spectacular throughout the whole 3 1/2 hour shoot! Sure there were meal breaks and potty accidents -but that's less than what I expected for the day! ;) I've almost got all of the images done for her parents to view and of course I've gotta get my creativity on and do some collages but I had to go ahead and show off her beautiful little face here in the mean time!
I can't wait to do more newborn sessions, which should be coming up soon with my Mom's photo prop shoot. She's had some medical set-backs and it's going to be a bit longer than initially expected due to surgery. If you are one of the Mommies who will be bringing your baby to the shoot, don't fret - we will be scheduling it ASAP. ;)

It takes a lot of pushing to get me to have faith in myself apparently. LOL ;) I've been told many times that my random artsy shots are quite good and that I should try selling them. So I am finally listening and now that I've had an empty Etsy shop for several months now - I am starting to fill it with product. With every order I take the time to get a little more creative with your photos and make some photo collages as bonus print choices. And if your heart desires something a little different than what I've created on my own, don't hesitate to ask for a certain layout, design or photo combination. What 2 Wear, Families - North Texas Family Photographer
One of the most frequently asked questions I get from clients is "What should we wear?" And it's not the most easy question to answer. Everyone has their own style - and that should DEFINITELY shine through in your session. The trick is to have everyone in a similar color pallet, while still maintaining each persons individuality.
Since the most common session I have is families I am going to start my series of What 2 Wear there. Since I allow multiple clothing changes with each session, we can allot for individual photos taken of each person in their favorite outfit but when everyone is in a shot together - it needs to be cohesive but still visually appealing. Coordinate but don't go the khaki shorts with white polo's route.

Payment & Policies
Payment for your session is due on the day of your session. I accept cash and checks. If you would like to pay in advance by credit card, I accept credit/debit cards through pay pal (with applicable pay pal fee added). Please note there is a $50 fee on any returned check.
You can have up to two adults and three children with unlimited outfit changes with your session fee. Each additional person will be $15.
Pets can also be included in your session and are included in the limit of three adults and three children. A $15 fee will be assessed per pet over the limit.
During the peak season, September-December, if you reschedule your session within 72 hours of the session booked date, you will incur a $20 rescheduling fee.
Failure to show up to your appointment within 15 minutes of your scheduled time, without notice or a phone call, you will loose your appointment and incur a $20 rescheduling fee.
All weather-related cancellations will be automatically rebooked, without any rescheduling fee.
Locations farther than 25 miles from Captured by Jess Photography (zip code 76240) will incur travel charges. Please contact capturedbyjess@ymail.com for more information.
Prices are subject to change at any time. Your price is locked in from your session date and up to three months from that date. Any orders placed after that three month window will be charged at current rates.
All discs come with a use release for you to print at the location of your choice. I retain the copyright so that I may use the images in marketing, publication and so fourth.
Wedding deposits are due upon scheduling, payment in full due before wedding date.
Please note I offer such discounted rates on Weddings because I do not have a second shooter (back-up photographer). You should know, due to this there is risk in equipment failure, sickness, and “missing the shot.”
Print orders will be processed after payment is received and can take up to 2-3 weeks. Specialty items may take longer.
About the Prints:: I send the photos out to a division the largest professional photography lab in the United States which was founded in 1939. They guarantee the highest of quality prints for your photographs which are far superior to anything Wal-Mart or CVS produces. For the print sheets I automatically upgrade your prints from their E-Surface Paper (Matte Finish) to their Premium Metallic Paper (Pearlescent Finish) at no additional cost to you when the photo will benefit from the metallic finish. On wall prints you can choose from either paper type. Learn more about all of the papers, here. I highly recommend at least buying yourself and grandparents these heirloom quality prints and using less premium services for your bulk prints for photo albums, friends and co-workers.
Special Mini Session Events with quick turn arounds may not always be printed from the lab referred to on my website, to ensure these discounted photo session's prints get to you in a timely manor I may have to use local pick-up services. As always, I will attempt to deliver the highest standard of quality possible.

That'll do, Donkey. That'll do... - North Texas Photography
As you may, or may not know - my parent's own a miniature donkey farm in Callisburg, Texas - Grasshopper Hill Miniature Donkey's. I've photographed their donkey's ever since they got their very first one several years ago. While we were there for Memorial Day, my Mom asked me to get some shots they could use on their website so I roamed around with my camera and got tons of shots. I spent the day today editing them. Dreaming of Fall Weddings... - North Texas Wedding Photographer
So I have two weddings booked for later this year - the first in October and the second in November, just a couple of days after my own Autumn wedding anniversary! My November Bride just happens to be a former classmate of mine from Elementary school- how cool is that?! I was already honored and excited about being chosen to capture her special day, but I have just become even more ecstatic about photographing her big day now that I know what the venues are! She has chosen two of the most spectacular places to hold her ceremony and reception - the backdrops for these photos will be gorgeous!
Her ceremony will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, which is a massive historic church with ornate structural details located in Dallas, TX. The reception will be held at the Plaza on the Hill, Sheraton in Arlington, TX. It is a modern dream - a circular ballroom in a pavilion surrounded by water. Uh, Yeah - GORGEOUS!
And I haven't even mentioned how good looking the entire wedding party is! Talk about a photographer's dream! I think I may even be more excited than the Bride for her day to arrive! ;)
